Le principal intérêt en l’Australie pour moi est sa grande diversité naturelle.
Aujourd’hui en allant à la fac je tombe sur un oiseau étrange: à mi-chemin entre un pigeon et un perroquet, i.e. un pigeon avec une crête de perroquet et un peu plus coloré! A mon avis deux espèces ont du forniquer :). A noter qu’il y a plus de perroquet que de pigeon ici. Tôt le matin parmi tous les chants d’oiseaux - il faut avouer que parfois ils sont vraiment très bruyants! - les plus courants sont les cris des perroquets. Il est par ailleurs possible de voir des colonies entières de perroquets survoler les habitations.
Le même soir je suis allé voir un film dans un cinéma 3D appelé Imax. Sur la route nous tombons nez à nez avec un animal plutôt étrange, en pleine ville! Celui-ci était blessé et nous ne savions pas s’il était agressif ou non. Du coup je tente le coup et m’approche de plus près pour voir à quoi il ressemble, voire lui donner quelque chose à manger pour qu’il reprenne des forces (Chie avait un gros cookie dans son sac). L’animal avait compris ce qu’il se passait et saute à la jambe de Chie! Du coup elle crie « Itchy! Itchy! Put it out!» en gros Ca gratte! Ca gratte! Enlèves le moi! J’étais mort de rire et en même temps je n’arrivais pas à lui l’enlever; Par conséquent je lui ai juste conseillé de marcher avec, ce qui a fonctionné :). Un peu apeuré elle s’est écartée. De mon côté je me suis approché et lui ai donné un bout de cookie: il me l’a pris directement dans la main avec ses pattes. J’ai pu apercevoir de très longues griffes bien acérées! L’animal s’enfuie rapidement avec le cookie et peu de temps après je constate d’autres animaux de la même espèce descendant des arbres et se formant autour du premier. Je les nourris tous, les caresse, etc. je donne un bout de cookie à Chie pour qu’elle l’offre aux animaux, je me retourne et m’aperçois qu’elle l’a mangé! Après coup elle comprend: « Sorry! » . Elle me fait trop délirer parfois. Sur la route j’arrête une australienne pour lui demander de quel type d’animal il s’agit. Elle me répond que c’est un possum, une espèce de marsupiaux arboricoles nocturnes, qu’il ne faut surtout pas trop approcher car il peut être dangereux, griffer et mordre: je dois avoir un bon feeling avec les animaux on dirait, car ils se sont bien laisser caresser :).

For me the most interesting in Australia is the great diversity in the wildlife.
Today, going to the university, I saw a strange bird: a mix between a pigeon and a parrot, i.e. A pigeon with a parrot's crest and a little bit more coloured! In my opinion these two species fucked together :). Moreover, it's possible to see more parrots than pigeons here. Early on the morning between all the birds songs – it has to be admitted that the birds are really noisy sometimes! - the most common are the songs of parrots. In addition it's possible to see colonies of parrots flying over the houses.
The same evening I have been going to watch a movie to the 3D theatre called Imax. Close to the CBD we met a strange animal. This was hurt and we didn't know if it was aggressive or not. I attempted to go closer to see what it looks like, verily to give it food to get back its energy, health (Chie has a big cookie in her bag). The animal understood and jumped to Chie's leg! Hence she screamed: « Itchy! Itchy! Put it out!». One one hand it was so funny, but on an other I couldn't get rid of it! Therefore I just advised her to walk with until it fall alone, which advise worked :). A little bit afraid she walked away. I took a look closer and gave it a piece of cookie: it took directly from my hand with its hands. I could see sharp claws on its hand! The animal ran off with the piece of cookie and then I could notice many other animals from the same species getting down from trees and gathering around the first one. I gave them all food, fondle them, etc. then I gave a piece of cookie to Chie for feeding the animals with me, looked back and observe that she was eating it! Considering my look she understood and said: « sorry! ». She's really too funny sometimes! On the road I stopped an Australian girl to ask her what kind of animal it is. She replied me that it was a possum, an nocturnal arboral marsupial species, that's not recommended to touch them because they can be dangerous, can scratch and bite: it seems to be that I have a good feeling with animals because they didn't hurt me when I touched them :).
